Hi,

No one is saying that it wouldn't run flawlessly, just pointing out that 
  if you are setuping a new server for virtualized scrcds, I would 
choose Xen for that purpose.

I think that ESXi is so popular because its easier to install. Community 
version of Xen needs a lot of more skill to setup than ESXi, but its 
worth it.
