You can choose if you want to use 12.0.0.1 / localhost or real ip, but you
have to tell iptables to open the port and if you using the real ip - make a
roule to let the eth0 send the logs to itself .. its easyer to say ok to all
traffic from localhost then from the "real" network.
use this for localhost
-A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT
this for eth0
/sbin/iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -i eth0 --dport 27500 -j ACCEPT
Good Luck !

I'd imagine that as a workaround using 127.0.0.1 would work

Wonder, why the latest CS:S (v56) server cannot send logs to
localhost.
For example these commands work:
log on
logaddress_add sl.lan:27500
but these don't, i.e. there are no any recieved packets on this port:
log on
logaddress_add localhost:27500
However CS 1.6 and old CS:S (v34) log perfectly to localhost.
Can it be fixed or might be there a workaround?
