Theoretically I guess so, but I imagine Valve has put in some kind of IP checking-device. I mean I guess they COULD get a different IP each time but if one person can go through that whole process to the point where you're actually blacklisted then I guess bravo to them. I used to be paranoid about being caught in the "blacklist hell" when the server crashes (especially after updates like the last ones) a bunch but I've found they kept with their original word and are only filtering out the really bad servers.
Here is the post that outlines what they did/doing/have done/whatever http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=2338&p=7 On Fri, Jul 29, 2011 at 11:19 AM, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: > So can people generate f2p accounts and bomb a competitor's server? > > On Fri, Jul 29, 2011 at 11:14 AM, doc <[email protected]> wrote: >> The reputation Valve keeps on the backend was explained by them in >> some blog post but in short whenever someone joins your server, you >> lose points.
