I started experiencing problems with weird stuttering (or the opposite, where the world moves WAY faster than it should) as soon as the RDTSC_FREQUENCY detection was added to the game. Therefore, I disabled in via set in my Bash .profile for the server user (export RDTSC_FREQUENCY=disabled). This way, the detection is skipped and all the weird timing issues went away.
