Well this wouldn't get my vote for the most important thing.
12v12 is already enough for the maps / game design, whilst
still being enough players to work casually (i.e you don't have
to end the game if someone leaves)

But I suppose I would agree for MvM / bots. The few times I've played MvM
the servers haven't really been able to run the game well.

Although I've hosted it locally (with a listen server) and it's been a bit better.

So it's a difficult call whether multi-threading will make a huge difference.
I suspect people run more than one TF2 instance per server anyway and
multi-thread that way - one or more instances per core.

Perhaps the multi-threading will be done as part of the linux client stuff?
