You can just do <input:my-date-field include-blank/> > I get the following error message http://pastie.org/281054. I've just pushed a fix for that. It just sets the date to nil if any part of the date is zero (after a to_i) It's pretty lame though - if the user sets any of the selects to blank, that's the same as setting them all to blank. You can't win with Rails' lame date selector really.
