funny, because really don't know a damn thing about html. I have a
huge gap in my experience consisting of all the "internet" years.

I got my start as a lisp hacker back at the end of the cold war,
writing parallel supercomputer software to design invisible aircraft
(and other things...). Cold war ended, $ dried up, so I learned
Win3.0 and C and this archaic visual development thingy called
Toolbook. Threw that away, went to law school (in a fantastic spot of
bad timing, started law school the same month that Netscape released
its first public beta), practiced antitrust law including cool high-
tech stuff for 10 years, then went off to McKinsey as a mgmt
consultant for a couple. Now have come full circle, working for a
startup and developing code for legal business process management in
my spare time.

Rails & Hobo has had a steep learning curve complete with the potholes
unfortunately common to a v0.8 framework, but it's been darn
productive at the same time, since it's kept me from having to get too
deep into the "middle" layers of rails and html and make real progress
at developing and deploying a modern app.

wouldn't know where to begin with the mac, assume you're using
TextMate which everyone and their grandmother seems to adore...
