That works, but those attributes have to be manually added to the form in the view layer. We've talked about the idea of a 'calculated field' that is basically a method, but gets field-like status in the sense that it would automatically show up, e.g. on a show-page This request is similar I think - it's not a calculated field, but a 'virtual field' that only lives for the length of a single request, but unlike a plain attr_accessor, is does automatically show up in a form. Thinking about it this is really a view-layer issue only, so it should probably be declared in view-hints.
