After about a year or so, I am returning to R on R and have found that
the world as I new it has changed a bit.

I have been aware of Hobo for a long time, but just revisited the
latest version today (1.3.0). I have installed Rails version 3.0.11
and find this to be much nicer than the older 2.3.4. I am also using
Ruby 1.8.7

I have contacted WebFaction as a possible hosting for my new project.
They report they are running Rails 3.1.0 on Ruby1.8.7 .

I understand that Hobo for Rails 3.1 is not quite ready. Should I
continue developing with 3.0?
How about Ruby 1.8.7. Is there any reason to upgrade to 1.9.3?

Please let me know your thoughts,

Thanks,
Dave C.
