I recently sent a friend (who said he was having software problems with FTPing pages) the link to the free download for WS-ftp LE (the free edition of WS-ftp), but i do not use this software myself now, but we used to use it to ftp all of our magazine pages for production.

I use CuteFTP, which i have a licensed copy of. It is not free, but is very good and not very expensive...

BUT, as Lob points out, there is so much great freeware out there. I think we should use the freeware and also direct some of our donation moneys to the fantastic programmers who make their helpful and useful products available to us so generously. SpyBot and SpywareBlaster are two of my favorites that i have learned about through helpful mentioning of them here on HolyGeek.

You would be proud of Lizzie - that is how she builds her pages, by hand in notepad. We were talking about this just the other day. She said she used to use software to do this, but found notepad best.

Your own pages are excellent and a tough act to follow sometimes. We all have our own unique styles, though, and our own expressions to share.

joyce has been working on graphics for the past couple of weeks. I have taken photographs and then reworked them using IrfanView and MS Paint and PhotoShop and Curl, and did one earlier in PowerBullet and so the Soup page is progressing slowly. I am going to be doing the Soup page in Curl as part of learning (and maybe a mirror in HTML ??)

Here is the first graphic i did a while ago for the tmxXine Soup page:

Nice and helpful, too. Thanks.

I've also updated our wikipedia page so people from HolyGeek and projeX can ALL add their works. There is now a place for Our Artworks, and Our Poetry, and even Our Jottings and Our Journals - anyone have a link to a livejournal or blogg for tmxXine to share? So, if you go to that page and scroll down, there are new sections for everyone here to use.

love and peace,
joyce
