I had an extended leave from cyberspace, forced on my by real time circomstances. A week ago I was just reading this very post of Lobster's, when the house painters arrived. And they were in a hurry to start, and before i even had a chance to finish reading this, they were already painting my front door and ready to start at the window where I was still behind the computer. I had already made arrangements to leave that day but had not realised things would go so fast and I was also taken by surprise how acutely I reacted to the paints. So, while I was loosing my breath I fled downstairs and vigorously coughing grabbed the phone, fled into the garden and there i called a friend. She came to my recue in the next 15 minutes. She's a very practical gal and always acts right away. While I was completely overwhelmed and confused in the garden, she went upstairs, disconnected my computer and carried it into the kitchen cupboard (the only one that has a lock) put some more valuables in there, locked the door and handed me the key. Then she grabbed my bag and pulled me into her car and we drove away from my house with the front door, the back door and all the windows wide open, whilst they were being painted. Off to the station we were. That is really the weirdest of feelings; leaving for the other end of the country with all the doors and windows wide open. My friend stayed in charge of my house and I just found everything back neatly painted and taken care of well :-) Just re-connected the computer and caught up with mail. I had a LOT of mail, since I had no chance to edit my email preferances for my groups, which I usually do before I leave for some days or weeks. >Desi who I know is interested in creating tmxxine freeflow >and others who require web pages probably have >WEB Space (provided by your ISP) to which they can >add files > I have free web space from my provider, but have not yet figured out how to access it and post some HTML there. I definately want to start designing a page soon. :-) Good to be back! Love, Desi ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Make a clean sweep of pop-up ads. Yahoo!
