Hi friends, A few days ago Harmento installed a Norton firewall on my computer (from a CD; it turns out that a good firewall for free, is hard to find these days on the net; the one I had, could also only be updated to a 30 day free trial; if.....I could give them a credit card number :( )
Though I have had not had an updated firewall for at least a month, no harmful attampts to access my computer were found by Norton, when first letting it run a check. However, since the firewall is working, it gave already 4 alerts on high risk attempt to access my computer through a Trojan horse. The IP numbers came from the UK (twice), the Netherlands and Portugal. After the last one it seems rather random. I know nobody in Portugal. Norton sais that this could be caused by a virus, but not nessesarily. I have AVG running a daily update and full scan now, and it has found no virusses for some time now. So that seems unlikely. So.... I wonder. What is a Trojan horse? Should I be worried about this? Is there a way to get rid of it? Love, Desi ------------------------ Yahoo!
