these certainly look to be of the family Amanitaceae: http://www.wildflowers-and-weeds.com/mushrooms/Amanitaceae.htm even with mushrooms one knows are safe ... it is always a good idea to eat even these in moderation the first time you pick them ... as one can never tell how they will affect you. what is fine for one person can adversly affect another .... even mushrooms picked in different locations can have different effect. always use caution. when learning about wild mushrooms ... i always had an experienced 'shroomer show me exactly what was what if it was something i didn't already know about. just be careful. -ts- ------------------------ Yahoo!
