I think we can answer your "trust anchor question" as posed, then we will 
*also* have figured out how to use DNSSEC to secure the "local." domain as it 
is used in I-D.cheshire-dnsext-mdns.  Before going there, I think I would start 
by questioning whether any cryptographic system based on the PKI is the right 
choice in these scenarios.
