The argument being made was that homes don't have long lived connections and that isn't true anymore. The majority of homes are always on. This percentage will continue to increase. As of 2006[1] the majority of households in Australia had Internet connections and the majority of those were classed as broadband. The 2011 data isn't available yet but will be before the end of August. Even in the bush it isn't dialup, it's radio links of one form or another.
