I continue to be confused about the vast array of what is possible in a top-of-the-line IS-IS deployment, and what is being proposed for a small-scale homenet solution. It would be really nice if someone who has created a homenet-sized IS-IS implementation could describe exactly what it can do. What "diagnostics" are in the homenet-sized IS-IS? Can the homenet-sized IS-IS handle mesh topology? Etc. We know *exactly* what Babel is at this point in time. I'm totally clueless as to what the capabilities of a homenet IS-IS are at this time. And then, if people want to talk about additional hypothetical IS-IS capabilities that could be added to a homenet IS-IS, I think they should be required to describe how much memory and other resources would be needed to include that in a homenet IS-IS. Otherwise, it's completely irrelevant that some IS-IS implementation somewhere does such a thing.
