Andrew, the set of people who want to use the command line and who can set
up DNS servers is wildly disjoint. And these domain names show up even in
Apple uis.

If you ever use SSH, or want to type in a URL, you need these names.
Furthermore, leaving information out of uis trains users to not notice
ambiguities that could meaningfully compromise their security, so I don't
even agree with the idea that there should be a separate presentation name.
I think it's a dangerous practice.

Of course, to put that in perspective, I also think domain search lists are
a dangerous practice for the same reason.
