If 3 horns is 50% better, get
Anton Reicha: 24 Trios pour trois cors, Op. 82 (1999). Deutsche Naturhorn
Solisten (horns). DG, catalogue number MDG 605 0864-2

It's one of my favorites.

Subject: [Hornlist] Natural horn duet

One seldom hears music for natural horn, even on the classical music
stations, so I was surprised and delighted to happen upon what sounded to me
(rank amateur) like a spectacularly well-played natural horn duet. The
station's (WGBH - Boston) playlist identified the recording as follows:

Teunis van der Zwart & Erwin Wieringa, horn duo
Die Koelner Akademie/Michael Alexander Willens, cond.
Ferdinand Ries Double Horn Concerto * Violin Concerto
Track Label: CPO Catalog Number: 777 353

I've never heard of the players, the conductor, or the orchestra. If anyone
knows of more impressive natural horn performances on CD, please let us
know.
