Hello Hans and All,

Well I am also learning to adjust to retirement.  I wake up in the morning and
just say:  oh my, I don't have to warm up.

I am currently in Cape Town SA, and am enjoying the relief from the very cold
Buffalo winter.

Enjoy your travels Hans.  I plan to travel some, but I don't think I will get
to as many places as will you.

And, a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Reminds me, how fast the time processes. I´m in retirement since more than 2
1/2 years, but enjoy it. Life turned back to normal. If friends or relatives
are visiting us, I have not check the watch in the afternoon to see if it is
time to prepare myself for the performance. This is history now. And going to
bed like other people do, not arriving home at 11:00 P.M. And having time, to
continue a task on the computer (I enjoy very much working with a 24" iMAC
since July. This is a different world. And I am free to postpone a task as I
want. No other pressure than myself - or my wife. We are free to travewl when &
to where we want & have explored China from Far East to Far West, from North to
South & South West, up to Tibet & Everest Base Camp, Cambodia with magnificent
Angkor, North Vietnam, Laos, the Malay peninsula, Macau, Thailand as ever,
India (Rajastan, Central India & the South). Hopefully travelling also to Syria
& Iran, to see the wonders of
ancient architecture there, also Turkey & Kasachstan, Korea soon, also
hopefully visiting South Afrika, visiting the wonders of Egypt once more, etc.
as long as health will allow.

Musically: just got the news, we will tour Argentina & Brazil with our "muppet
show" (most players retired former professional musicians, all members of
Schlaraffia international - good friends of Rotary international) plus some
younger players Easter 2011 , programming the Huebler Concerto for 4 horns,
which we did several times already. They just forced me to play Mozarts no.2
concerto mid April 2010. I could not refuse. And a bit toooting with my hunting
horns.

Hope, all is fined for you.

Accept my best wishes for the coming festive days & for the coming year.

Warmest greetings

Hans
