I'm not sure that a toe nail fungal infection would stop you from playing the horn, (depending, of course, on who taught you) but I would suggest that whilst you are suffering from this complaint you should try not to put your foot into the bell of the horn as this may result in the infection spreading to other parts of your body, in particular, any other parts you may be inclined to put into the bell.
