Hello everyone!
I was watching the Berlin Philharmonic on the Classic Arts channel last week and was surprised to see the first horn playing with his hand out of the bell holding the lower rim. I didn't see a mute. They were playing outdoors in their "wald-something"tent,performing a piece by Nielsen called "Alladin" in 2006. What could be the justification for this? The orchestra was throughly miked and amped through multiple speakers. There were several close shots of the horns and all of them showed the first horn with his hand out of the bell !?! Anyone have an idea? Regards to all- Otto _______________________________________________ post: [email protected] unsubscribe or set options at https://pegasus.memphis.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
