I agree with Carlberg, that buzzing my usual routine in the car works well. I employ a combination of the BERP (Buzz Extension & Resistance Piece) and a gizmo I found at the 1995 Indiana Brassfest, called the "Buzzit". The BERP adds enough resistance to make the embouchure muscles work meaningfully. The "Buzzit" is shaped loosely like a handgun (yes, I have had to give occasional expalantions in airports) but gives the proper holding position and angle. It has a wooden block for the hand to grip, and a metal rod with a receiver on the end. I have tried to look up the guy who sold it to me since then, but his name and the Buzzit name have yielded no results. Someone with shop skills could probably fashion one easily.
