John Harbison: Twilight music

Yes, it is less than half century old, but shouldn't frighten the audience
unduly.

Charles Koechlin wrote something for this combo called 4 little pieces
(but, no doubt, he did it in French).

I have recordings of at least a dozen other works, leaving aside Ligeti,
Wourinen and other scary folk, that present varying levels of player
difficulty, but do not demand a whole lot of the audience, but these should
probably be enough. If I can find the time, I will dig through my
recordings and sheet music and post what comes up.

I'm quite sure that there was an earlier (probably several earlier) thread
that hashed over this already and I think that someone (Bill Melton?) sent
an exhaustive list of horn, violin, piano trios. Someone could probably
search the list archive and come up with this, but I've got to get back to
work now.
