Klaus, this issue has come up before and we've looked into it. The site gets
many visitors from all over the world without complaint. Try accessing it from
another machine and see what happens. I'm sorry you're having trouble.

There is a way to objectively test whether it is accessible internationally. I
ran a test at the site www.websitepulse.com and selected tests in Munich and
Beijing. Munich tested perfectly. The site was not available in Beijing,
however. That's not too surprising. Hong Kong and Brisbane can reach the site
as well.

If you try similar sites like Just-Ping and Watchmouse, they will show a result
of "Packets lost (100%)", which looks bad. However, the same results came up
for the websites for the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony.
The explanation seems to be that those sites are not "pingable". Amazon and
Microsoft are not pingable either, nor are many other major sites. As I
understand it, this is a result of the sites' attempts to defend against denial
of service attacks. WebsitePulse shows it is accessible, which is enough to
refute such complaints about the site. Too much information, I'm sure!

Best,
Gabe
