Here's the question:

There is a certain talented,
generally-respected, and _extremely_
influential musician from the
20th century (but still alive) who
underwent a mid-career sex
change. IMO this person had as much
influence on ongoing musical
practice as did Mozart or Beethoven in
their day. Who is this
person?

I suspect the oldsters are more likely to know the answer than the
youngsters. (Why do we say "dial" a phone?) Those who
know the answer
might delay posting it to the list for a day so
youngsters can ponder
the question.

---------

Walter/Wendy Carlos, creator of Switched-on Bach and several sequel albums,
none of which surpassed the first, IMO.
