Greetings, and Happy new year to all!

Concerning fingering technique there are weeks that I do not play the
valve horn but concentrate on the hand horn. I have found that I do need
to wake up my left hand when getting back to the valves. I have done this
with scales of valve trill, I can get my technique back for most music in
about ten minutes.

I performed Janacek's Concertino recently. There is a "lick" in the fourth
movement that I think really is too fast for the valves. I succeeded in
concert, but only after a serious amount of repetition.
