I bought a Hornstick from Paxman online. I found it inconvenient to use, and it did not help my problem, which is a cervical disc herniation at C3-4.
I have had increasing problems from this cervical disc herniation (probably an old football (American) injury) for the last 5 years. It produces shoulder and arm pain. Horn playing of any sustained duration makes it worse. Playing on or off leg does not seem to make a difference. I am a physician, age 61, and have had adequate diagnostic tests. Epidural steroid injections help temporality. Any suggestions to alleviate this problem would be appreciated!
