Bill, It's a bit more than creeks that burst their banks. We're talking an
'inland Tsunami'. This is what the authorities are calling it. It's believed to
be the worst natural disaster in Australian History. The death toll is 16 at
the
moment. The latest person was found some 80 klm (approx 65 miles) from where
he/she was last seen. And no, 'French Horns Country Style' was not composed by
Banjo Patterson. He concentrated on verse. Banjo was responsible for helping to
capture the 'real' essence of Australia in his poems. One of his most famous
was
'The Man From Snowy River' from which the film of the same name derived.
Regarding 'French Horns Country Style' There's a little bit of 'chicken reel'
in
it as well as the piece showcasing the horns (glisses to B flat above stave,
Big
country style melody and finishing on high C's, and G's).

Brian.
