I wished I'd used the little ditty from Pirates of Penzance to end our
service.

Regarding music from Midsummer Nights Dream by Mendelssohn or any fictional
work used in a wedding, my church has offered the following as far as music
allowances:

Music such as the Wedding March and Bridal Chorus are written for dramatic
texts which mock the institution of mariage and are therefore inappropriate
for a liturgical wedding.

Basically any music from the Baroque, Classical or Romantic style which does
not designate a storyline will be okay.

May the peace of God which passeth understanding keep our hearts and minds
in the knowledge and love of God and in his son Jesus Christ our Lord and
the blessing of God Almighty, the Father Son and Holy Spirit be with us all,
now and forever. Amen.
