Speaking of wedding music by famous author's, besides Lohengrin and
Midsummer Night Dream, I'd consider the wedding march from "Le Nozze
di Figaro" ("ecco la marcia, andiamo, Susanna dammi il braccio") and
(my favorite) the march from the Fairy Queen wedding in Verdi's
"Falstaff". Perhaps Mozart's is more suitable for a woodwind quintet
transcription.

As for ministers not liking certain types of music, I think that if
you are their guests, then you you should oblige to their tastes. You
can always choose a different church, or whatever. Once, a church
where we played admitted Mozart arias but not Bartok, though all
considered the latter was much more innocent in my opinion.
