It is called a "shake" when you do that on a trumpet.... I think????
When I was a teen and still had dreams of playing jazz trumpet, that's exactly
what we called them...Funny how a bit of jazz education helps when I need to
"swing" on a horn part. It's fun to get away with scoops and shakes and the
director never says a word, because the Trumpets are doing the same things.
