This metaphor doesnt work. If you say: a piece can be played only by
using a horn in A, you still can play it on a horn in F, but you must be
able to transpose or install a transpose device.

Thats it. I have no problems reading HTML, Rich-text or plain ASCII or
what else, even Thai & Chinese & Japanese.

That IS the problem.

As stated by Dan Phillips, Outlook violates the agreed upon internet
standards so that non-microsoft users or programs strictly adhering to
these standards can experience problems.
It is not only Outlook; you will regularly run into problems if you use
a non-microsoft program on sites designed with Microsoft products. This
sort of defeats the whole idea behind the internet.

I notice more often that MS users seem to forget that not everybody can
or wants to use a recent intel compatible pc running the latest windows
versions. (1/4 of the internet population doesn't!)

Solution to the problem as envisaged by Bill Gates:

Everyone MUST use microsoft products on new intel pc's!

Imagine if someone uses this principle in horn playing!
If you want to play this or that piece, you can only play it on a new
Schmid, at least a full double, using a recently bought K&M music stand,
with a score not printed more than 2 years ago, otherwise the music
becomes unreadable!
