Ha! On a cold fall night here in northern Ohio, I bet the instruments would
be close to E because of the frigid temperature. Besides, if the spectators
have enough booze in them, the only thing that matters is sheer volume. As
for the blaring of the bell next to my ear, it would be just like
high-school again. The trombonist who used to stand directly behind me
during our band's pre-game show used to play so loud into the back of my
head that I wouldn't be suprised if he saw a little blood in his urine after
the show. Besides... cramping fingers, ringing ears. That's what marching
band was all about *grin*, as I remember it.

Josh ! You would get a very hard time, flying with the Valkyries in E
using these marching piccolo tubas in E-flat. I bet, you would have to
get "finger repair" after the first two hours practise time. How about
the bell blaring next to your ear ????

Oh great! A marching Wagner tuba. Nothing like a little Wagner during
halftime. Although...... Flight of the Valkyries would be amazing to
start
off a show.
