William, go to a good University music library - or just your local symphony orchestra - and look through Musical America. It's a huge magazine filled mostly with ads from artists and agencies, but at the back is a huge reference section. One area is devoted to International (and North American) competitions for any instrument. You'll have to wade through the dozens and dozens of piano, voice and string competitions to find the ones that may include the horn - but you'll pretty much find them all.
You might also do an internet search under Musical America and see about buying your own copy - though if memory serves (and it does less and less lately!), it's a very expensive magazine - about $100.
