Hello, Horn Players.

I've been studying the orchestration in the Dvorak
Cello Concerto lately, and have been looking at how
he uses the Brass. I remember back in the 1970's I
had a friend, who was a cello prodigy, who got to
study from Gregor Piatigorsky. Mr. Piatigorsky played
the Dvorak all over the world, and even talked about
what a privilege it was to hear Dennis Brain play the
famous Horn Solo in the Dvorak Cello Concerto First
Movement, in bars 56 to 64. Are there any recordings
of Dennis Brain playing this work with a major cellist?
Has anyone here played this Solo in concert?

supposed to know, if I already have a Canola at home,
suffering for lack of being oiled, if I don't know what
it looks like?!?" - Bear Woodson (2001)
