I can sort-of respond to this. I am not in Houston, but I have used
Comcast's high-speed for several years in Denver. I have been very
happy with it and its probably been down once (for just about 30 mins)
in those years.

Hopefully, better days are ahead for Time Warner/Comcast.

Subject: [houcfug] Slightly off-thread question

Okay, so this question has nothing to do with Cold Fusion (other than
that
it's interfering with my Cold Fusion development :-) ), but since most
of
you live in the Houston area....

Currently, we're using Time Warner's Road Runner for our Internet feed,
but
in the past several months, it has been rather unreliable. It goes up
and
down like a yo-yo, and when you work at home, it really interferes with
your
work, especially when you're logged into a remote server. So we're
looking
at other options....what would you recommend?

(Note: I'm aware that Comcast is taking over Time Warner....does anyone
know
if Comcast is any better?)

Thanks,
Angeli Wahlstedt, IdeaSculpt LLC
