I have been using TW's service for a few years now and usually never have
any up/downs except when construction is happening around me and an accident
happens. I have had a couple of random problems with hardware over the
years and they always swapped it out for me and one time I had issues that
turned out to be because I had a splitter before my modem. One end went to
my TV card in my computer and the other to the cable modem. Found out the
splitter was the issue after they sent a guy out to diagnose my no
connection and slowness issues, it still can happen even with a high dollar
splitter and I just only hook that up when I need it since been too lazy to
make another cable drop to that room.

Out of curiosity what ISP are you using with them? I am using Earthlink as
is my neighbor and he works full time from home and rarely mentions any
hiccups with his VPN connection. If I had to have the most uptime possible,
I would get a DSL and a cable modem with a router that can switch between
the two when one goes down, that is exactly what some friends of mine do out
in Atlanta.
