Christopher, I have worked on quite a few projects hosted at HostMySite and never had any complaints with them. The very few times issues have come up their tech support was always prompt to fix them. I have used their support both via the online chat and the phone. I have never hosted a PHP/MySQL site there though just been ASP/Access, ASP/MSSQL, CFM/Access, and CFM/MSSQL.
I know someone out in Georgia who hosts a very big online car forum that uses PHP/MySQL. He has it on a dedicated box box though.
