Hey Folks,

Just idly thinking off of the top of my head:

In regards to Flex, what are people's thoughts on the pros and cons
of going with a Flash-based solution over a Javascript and CSS driven
one? I'm specifically thinking of technologies like the Google Web
Toolkit and other JS approaches that hook into server side code and
automatically generate client side code that works cross-platform.

in regards to AIR - it sounds to me like this is the same thing Java
was supposed to do in terms of providing a cross platform environment
for desktop applications. Outside of Eclipse, I don't think I use any
other Java-based desktop apps. What are the advantages of AIR over
Java? Is it quicker to develop in and more focused on delivering
desktop applications, as opposed to Java which does everything? Or am
I way off here?

Looking forward to this event.

Cheers,
Chris
