Sam,

It's my pleasure. The HouCFUG rebuild is going to be a great project for all
those who choose to
get involved, and it's exciting to me that the entire process will be
transparent and open source!

Stay tuned for updates as they happen. :)

Take Care,

Seth

Howdy All,

Thank you to everyone who made it out last night - it was a tremendous meeting!

We talked about what Web 2.0 is (and isn't), and discussed the direction of the
Houston CFUG
community.

We launched a new project to rebuild the community from the ground up, using
best-of-breed
technologies (like ColdFusion) and practices.

For those who were unable to attend, we collaborated on a document to help
outline the goals and
requirements of the community rebuild. This is an organic, editable document
that all members have
full access to, so feel free to check it out, and add your two cents on what
you would like the new
community to offer!

I've shared a document with you called "HOUCFUG 2.0 Project Details":
http://docs.google.com/a/houcfug.org/Doc?id=dct7r6pj_2c2hbv8c8
<http://docs.google.com/a/houcfug.org/Doc?id=dct7r6pj_2c2hbv8c8&invite=dzd4m4k>

Also, for those interested, the slideshow from the "Web 2.0" portion of the
meeting is available
also:
http://docs.google.com/Presentation?id=dct7r6pj_3ctc8csf3

All are welcome to contribute as much or as little as you'd like to the HOUCFUG
Community Rebuild.

More details coming on how YOU can actively (or passively) participate!

Questions/comments/suggestions? Reply to this thread or email me directly, the
board and I are all
ears

Take Care,

Seth
