Fooey. I bought it the day it came out. No discount for me :-| (Don't have it yet; CreateSpace's shipping options are a bit slow/pricey, though you can get a Kindle version.)
I think ColdBox is very well thought out, and does a lot for you, and easily plugs into other framework/methodologies well. You do, however, have to spend some serious up-front time wrapping your head around it, especially if you're not experienced in MVC. Some of the other frameworks seems easier to follow to me, but they don't seem to have CB's featureset - if you're used to just jumping in and writing code, CB's DI/caching/security/etc will leave you scratching your head alot at first.
