It hosed pretty much everything but the datasource names, but since it hosed
the rest of the datasource settings those too had to be rebuilt.  The end
result was a complete waste of time to make the CAR and get it moved between
data centers.  That was on a single server installation, actually nothing
fancy about the installation at all but it was going from a prior version of
CF to the next version.  I have used CARs without any issue when going from
same version to same version.
