John, I wasn't saying you were wrong. I said I was adding a clarification.
You mentioned watching memory with both FR and Perfmon. I was explaining why
the former wouldn't help in this particular situation, if someone might
misconstrue what you were pointing out. The ever-present challenge of saying
too little or too much. I obviously err on the latter side. :-)

But yes, using Perfmon or Task Mgr you could certainly keep an eye on total
memory, or memory used by IIS.

Windows Performance Monitor should show big drops in total free RAM, if any.

 

If you see such drops every time a send is happening and they go away when
send is done and (for example) there's a corresponding increase in the
amount of time to serve CF pages...well...you get the idea...
