Thanks for the feedback. We have a small contingent that attend meetings 
regularly, so I thought I'd start that list of members fresh. I'm pleasantly 
surprised to see some RSVPs from those who are fresh faces, or haven't been to 
a meeting in a while. Not sure if that's due to Meetup or the new location.

To be clear, while Meetup does have some good communication features, I do plan 
on keeping the mailing list here on Google Groups, as I feel it's the best 
solution for discussions.
