I wish it were that easy, but I checked that 1st thing.  The kicker is
that if I try to print it "wrong" (with the HP driver canned profiles)
it looks great. 

I think I'm going to table this project for the moment and try again
in a week or so.  I'll try a fresh start and hopefully with a little
luck the gremlins will be gone...
