Tim, I've been using a 5000 for about 5 years and I also had a problem with gloss paper feed. I solved the problem by buying a humidifier and keeping the humidity on my studio at least 30%. No problems since. I also now have a Z3100 which is the best printer I've used. Essentially no problems with the Z printer.
