I am trying to profile Ilford's Smooth Heavyweight Matte paper for casual use, but am unable to get an adequate Dmax. When the driver is set to HP Photo Matte, and inking increased to maximum, the Dmax for the Ilford matte paper is 1.53, compared to 2.48 obtained with HP's PPP Satin. Can anyone recommend driver media settings that might improve on this?
The problem with RGB drivers is that there is no way for the uninformed to know how much ink the various settings lay down.
