we have an hp800ps printer that is almost one and a half year old. When we first get it, it was printing very accurate. For a 120 inch length of rectangular box, it is off by 0.06 inch or 0.05% margin. At present, when printing a 100 inch rectangular box, we are getting 0.16 to 0.26 inch short. This is 0.16% to 0.26% margin.
We have the printer calibrated and cleanned but it didn't help. we were wondering if anybody has encountered this type of problem before. Talking to HP didn't help also, because there margin specification is 0.40%. Appreciate any input we could get.
