Hello all! I am a new subscriber to the group with alot of questions. I am a registered professional engineer I normally have my plotting done by a reproduction service, but it would be helpful to produce "check prints" in my home office.
I recently aquired an HPDJ 450c at an auction. I took it to my local service center and had her checked out. Their diagnosis, fixable but expensive. The problems were 1) bad electronics module, 2) needs belt replacement and 3) firmware module had been removed. Can anyone with some knowledge shed some light on this? Can these repairs be done by oneself? I have found various links to belt replacement instructions. Is there anyone willing to coach me?
