The drying time has nothing to do with it as this parameter will only tell the printer how long to hold the paper befor releasing it to the output tray. The marks we are talking about can be seen only when using heavyweight glossy paper feeding from the roll. The damage to the surface is already there when the ink hits the surface. You can also see stripes als long as the ink is not fully dry, I suspect the ink takes longer to dry in these pressured areas.
